Sinhagad College Campus, opp. to Bank Of Maharashtra, Ambegaon Budruk, Pune, Maharashtra 411046, India
Ambegaon Budruk is a south Pune neighbourhood on the Katraj-Kondhwa road, near the Bharati Vidyapeeth campus. It has grown from a village into a mid-density residential area over the past decade. PGs draw Bharati Vidyapeeth students who want cheaper rent than Dhankawadi. Rents are among the lowest in urban Pune. The area has a local market and a few restaurants. PMPML bus connections to Swargate and Hadapsar are available though frequencies are lower than central routes.

Pune is one of India's top education and IT cities, home to Savitribai Phule Pune University, numerous engineering colleges, and a massive IT corridor stretching from Hinjawadi to Kharadi. The city also has a strong manufacturing base around Pimpri-Chinchwad and a growing startup market. Students, freshers, and IT professionals form the bulk of PG and hostel demand, supported by a large defence and government establishment. PG culture in Pune is well established, the city has everything from traditional paying-guest setups with home-cooked meals to modern co-living spaces near IT parks. Rents vary dramatically by location: areas near the university or old city are cheaper, while the western IT corridor (Baner, Balewadi, Hinjawadi) and east Pune (Kharadi, Viman Nagar) command premiums. Choosing the right area based on your workplace or campus can save hours of daily commute on Pune's congested roads.
See all PG & hostels in Pune →Kothrud, Viman Nagar and Kharadi in warden-managed properties are sensible starting points because established PG clusters make it easier to compare access control and local transport. Visit after dark, check CCTV, a resident warden, visitor policy and the walk from the stop or station before paying a deposit. For a shared double room with meals, start with Katraj, Warje and Dhankawadi (₹5,000–₹8,000); Kothrud for MIT-WPU and Shivajinagar/Deccan for SPPU, COEP and Fergusson is the relevant student reference.
