Indore is Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital and one of India's cleanest cities. IIT Indore, IIM Indore, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, and a cluster of engineering and management colleges create a large student population. The city's growing IT sector along the Super Corridor, its established pharmaceutical and automobile industries, and a booming food-and-street-culture scene make it a draw for young professionals and entrepreneurs. PG rents in Indore are very competitive, cheaper than Pune or Bengaluru for comparable room quality. Vijay Nagar is the student-PG epicentre, while areas along the Super Corridor attract IT workers. Most PGs include two meals. Indore is compact enough that key areas are 20-30 minutes apart by auto or bus, but living near your college or office is still the practical choice, especially during the monsoon when traffic slows.
