Fazalganj is an old industrial zone in Kanpur, historically tied to the city's textile mills. The mills have largely closed, but the area retains a working-class character with wholesale markets and small workshops. PGs are basic and cheap, serving labourers and small traders. It's centrally located but congested. Some of the old mill buildings have been repurposed as warehouses and small manufacturing units, keeping the area commercially active despite the decline of large-scale textiles.
