Chinchwad is adjacent to Pimpri and shares the industrial employment base, with additional growth from IT and service-sector offices along the old Mumbai highway. The Chinchwad railway station provides suburban rail access to central Pune, and the area is now connected by the Pune metro.

Pimpri is the industrial heart of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, home to Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, Force Motors, and numerous auto-component manufacturers. PG demand comes from factory workers, production engineers, and management trainees posted at these industrial units.

Hinjawadi is Pune's largest IT corridor, home to the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park with phases housing TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and hundreds of tech companies. PG and managed-stay demand here is enormous, driven by the sheer concentration of tech workers. Most PGs are in the surrounding villages and new developments. The main challenge is traffic congestion on the single access road, which makes location within Hinjawadi major.

Kharadi is one of Pune's major IT hubs, home to EON IT Park, World Trade Center, and multiple tech company offices. PG demand is driven almost entirely by IT professionals, with managed stays and co-living spaces mushrooming around the business parks. The area is well developed with malls, hospitals, and restaurants, though traffic on Kharadi–Mundhwa Road can be heavy during peak hours.

Baner has transformed from a quiet village into one of Pune's most favoured residential and commercial hubs, driven by its access to Hinjawadi's IT parks. PG and co-living options are abundant, targeting young IT professionals with furnished rooms, meals, and Wi-Fi. Rents are among Pune's highest outside the old city, but the restaurant scene, nightlife, and short Hinjawadi commute justify the cost for many.

Kothrud is one of Pune's largest and most established residential areas, stretching from Karve Road to the hills near Paud Road. The MIT campus, Cummins College, and short distance to Savitribai Phule Pune University make it a traditional student PG hub with decades of hostel and PG network.

Shivajinagar is central Pune's busiest hub, housing the main bus stand, FC Road's college strip, and the Pune railway station nearby. It is the gateway to Pune's university area and draws heavy PG demand from students at Fergusson College, BMCC, and the law colleges on FC Road. Rents are moderate, but the area is noisy and congested during the day.

Karve Nagar is a quieter residential pocket within the broader Kothrud–Warje stretch, popular with students at MIT and families who prefer a calmer setting. PGs here offer a peaceful alternative to the busier Karve Road corridor, with local shops, eateries, and parks within walking distance.
