About Fort
Fort is Mumbai's central business district, a heritage precinct packed with banks, corporate headquarters, the Bombay High Court and the stock exchange. Churchgate and CST stations are within walking distance. PG demand comes from banking, legal and finance professionals who want to live close to their offices. Places to stay are scarce and expensive in Fort itself. Most workers find PGs in nearby Marine Lines, Byculla or Dadar and commute the short distance.

About Mumbai
Mumbai is India's financial capital and its most expensive rental market. The city's PG and hostel demand is driven by a massive working population in banking, finance, media, entertainment, IT and manufacturing spread across South Mumbai, the western suburbs and the eastern corridor. Major institutions like IIT Bombay, TISS, St. Xavier's and Mumbai University add major student demand. The local train network (Western, Central and Harbour lines) defines how most Mumbaikars commute and choose where to live. PG rents in Mumbai vary enormously by location. South Mumbai and Bandra command the highest prices, while areas along the Central Line like Ghatkopar and Mulund offer better value. Most PGs include meals, and sharing arrangements from twin to four-bed rooms are standard. Access to the nearest railway station is the single most important factor for commuters, even a 10-minute walk difference to the station affects daily convenience. Comparing PGs by their station distance, not just area name, is the most practical approach in Mumbai.
