About the area
Magdalla is a developing southern Surat suburb positioned between the Hazira industrial corridor and the Dumas coast. PGs serve workers heading to the Hazira ONGC, Essar, and Reliance complexes, as well as students at SVNIT and maritime institutes along the Surat–Dumas stretch. Rents are reasonably priced and the area is expanding with new residential projects. The Magdalla port area brings some maritime and logistics workers to the PG market as well. Transport relies heavily on autos and buses, though the road to Hazira is well maintained.
