About the area
Nanpura is one of Surat's oldest commercial areas, close to the Surat railway station and the historic walled city with its Dutch and Mughal-era architecture. PGs here serve workers in the traditional market areas, textile traders, wholesale shop employees, and small-business workers. Rents are among the lowest in central Surat, and the area has a busy old-city character with narrow lanes and dense commercial activity. It is noisy and congested but unbeatable for access to the railway station, courts, and the old-city wholesale cloth market.
